In compliance with the basic requirements for products to consider compliance with the relevant provisions of the european standards. Currently are valid in the EU for playground equipment following two standards:
EN 1176-, EN 1177th
Document contains the technical specifications and other criteria for materials, products, processes and services to suit the purpose.
If playgrounds are qualified recommendations which cover foreseeable risks and contributing to increased safety area intended for children playing.

These standards are indispensable for designers, builders and operators of playgrounds

Part 1 of EN 1176 specifies general safety requirements for public playground equipment and surfacing. Additional safety requirements for specific pieces of playground equipment are specified in subsequent parts of this standard.  Part 1 of EN 1176 covers playground equipment for all children. It has been prepared with full recognition of the need for supervision of young children and of less able or less competent children. The purpose of all parts of EN 1176 is to ensure a proper level of safety when playing in, on or around playground equipment, and at the same time to promote activities and features known to benefit children because they provide valuable experiences that will enable them to cope with situations outside the playground. All parts of EN 1176 is applicable to playground equipment intended for individual and collective use by children, but excluding adventure playgrounds. It is also applicable to equipment and units installed as children's playground equipment although they are not manufactured as such, but excludes those items defined as toys in EN 71 and the Toys Safety Directive.

Main obligations for the playground manufacturer, supplier:

Ensure that products are designed and manufactured in accordance with the established requirements

Prepare the technical documentation and carry out or have carried out the assessment procedure
compliance established by a government decree. After proof conformity, the manufacturer is obliged to draw up a declaration of conformity or another document confirming
conformity

Indicate on the product information and identification data about the product and identification data and contact details of his person, to ensure that the product is accompanied by a clear and comprehensible instructions and safety information in the market language

Keep records of complaints and non-compliant products and products withdrawn from circulation,
and to inform the distributors to whom he has supplied these products

If he considers or has reason to believe that the product he has placed on the market is not in in accordance with the established requirements, he is obliged to accept without undue delay the necessary and effective measures to bring the product into conformity with the requirements laid down, or withdraw the product from the market or from circulation; if the product poses a risk of danger life, health, property or the environment or other public interest (hereinafter referred to as risk), the manufacturer is obliged to inform about this risk and its nature and causes, as well as about the accepted ones measures or the withdrawal of a product from the market or the market, inform the authority without delay supervision.
