DESCRIPTION

1.1 This specification covers requirements and test methods for fabricated solid wall poly(vinyl chloride) (PVC) storm sewer basins. The intent of the PVC basin is to be used in conjunction with, but not limited to, pipe materials such as: D3034, F794, F891, F949, F1760, F1803, F2306, F2435, F2648, F2763, F2764, F2947, or F2881. Basins shall be manufactured from piping, or from a combination of pipe and injection molded parts with or without flat or machined PVC stock.

1.2 The requirements of this specification are to provide fabricated PVC basins suitable for non-pressure drainage of surface water.

1.3 Basins produced to this specification are intended to be installed with pipe. Pipe shall be installed in accordance with Practice D2321. Additional installation guidance for the basin is provided in 8.1.

1.4 The values stated in inch-pound units are to be regarded as standard. The values given in parentheses are mathematical conversions to SI units that are provided for information only and are not considered standard.
