DESCRIPTION

UNE 135127-1:2021

This standard defines the general terms and the procedure to be followed for the performance of specific impact tests for the measurement of the maximum loads that a parapet, i.e. a system intended to be installed on a bridge deck, retaining wall or similar structure, transmits to the structure on which it is installed. The standard is divided into 2 parts: - Part 1: Parapets with point interaction with the structure. - Part 2: Parapets with continuous interaction with the structure. The procedure described in Part 1 is applicable to designs of restraint systems consisting of components that are attached to the outer surface of a deck or similar structure by means of specific fasteners defined by the manufacturer. It is not applicable to systems constructed in situ with continuity of the materials of the deck or structure. The values obtained by this procedure constitute a measurement of the maximum forces transmitted by a containment system in accordance with the specifications of the UNE EN 1317-1:2011 Standard.
