This standard includes the description of the controls to be carried out "in situ" on the elements of vertical signs and road delineators in service, to check their conservation status and visibility, as well as the test methodology that allows to evaluate their characteristics. This standard applies to traffic signs, signals, directional signs type arrow, sign post, junction marker, cylindrical delineators, vertical retroreflectors and retroreflective lane separator devices in service. Likewise, it is also applicable to screws and their support and anchoring elements. This standard does not apply to structures supporting suspended signage, see gantries and cantilevers, the review of which is established in Annex B of Standard UNE 135311.
