UNE 138002:2023
This standard defines the quality of ceramic tile coverings and aims to establish the general rules and associated processes for the design, selection of materials, preparation, installation, delivery and maintenance in use of ceramic systems that must be considered in order to guarantee their quality and durability, as well as their technical and aesthetic performance. The scope of application of this standard is established in general for all types of ceramic tile cladding (in all its variants), installed by direct adhesion using bonding materials and on all types of substrates suitable for receiving such cladding. The standard includes the tile installation rules for the following types of bonding materials: - Adhesives complying with the requirements of Standard UNE-EN 12004-1, including those referred to in Annex ZA of that standard. - Mortars for the fixing of wall tilings with ceramic tiles, with the limitations established in this standard. Excluded from the scope of application of this standard are other coverings made with ceramic tiles, but installed by other mechanical and/or chemical anchoring systems, in which the adhesion materials indicated in the previous paragraph do not intervene, as in the case of ventilated façades or raised technical flooring.
