This standard defines the terminology, classification, dimensional characteristics, technical and material characteristics of the coffins. This standard is applicable to all types of coffins regardless of their design, functionality, and type of materials used in their manufacture included in this standard. This standard does not apply to the coffins of remains and does not include requirements on the additional elements to the coffins of common or special use, used for transfers. This standard does not apply to the incineration of coffins coming from any type of exhumation.
