This national standard specifies the requirements of the performance of different types of anionic bituminous emulsions which are suitable for use in the construction and maintenance of roads, pavements of airports and other paved areas. It applies to emulsions of bitumen, or cut back bitumen and to emulsions of polymer modified bitumen, or of polymer-modified cut back bitumen, which also includes latex modified bituminous emulsions. The structure to specify the anionic bituminous emulsions of this national standard provides a basis for quality between supplier and customer agreements.
