UNE 53944:2019 IN

This report provides practical recommendations for the installation of channelling systems in thermoplastic materials for the evacuation of water (at low and high temperature) including siphon systems, inside the structure of the buildings and buried inside. It also applies to rain gutters and downpipes abroad. The following application area codes are used: - Applications of wastewater evacuation (at low and high temperature) inside buildings (application area code "B") - Applications of wastewater evacuation (at low and high temperature) inside buildings and buried inside (application area code "BD") - Rainwater evacuation applications outside buildings (application area code R ) This report applies to pipes, fittings and gutters of thermoplastic materials, defined in UNE-EN 607, UNE-EN 1329-1, UNE-EN 1451-1, UNE-EN 1453-1, UNE-EN 1455- 1, UNE-EN 1519-1, UNE-EN 1566-1, UNE-EN 12200. For siphon systems, UNE-EN ISO 1452-2 and UNE-EN ISO 1452-3 can also be used. They can be used in the following applications: a) pipes for the evacuation of domestic wastewater (at low and high temperature); NOTE 1 See chapter 4 for wastewater evacuation temperature limits. b) ventilation ducts associated with the evacuation system; c) rainwater pipes inside the building structure (see figure 1, key 16). d) rainwater pipes outside the building (see figure 1, key 7 and 14) e) siphon systems (see figure 1, key 7, 13 and 16) NOTE 2 Only components of gravity systems specified in the appropriate associated standard of nominal outside diameters equal to or greater than 75 mm (that meet the requirements of the "BD" marking) are intended for burial inside the building structure. . The term "inside the structure of buildings" refers to any gravity evacuation pipeline inside a building, including the elements installed under the building and buried. For siphon systems buried inside the building structure, diameters below 75 mm can be used as long as the justification hydraulic calculations are provided. If specified in the product standard, this report is also valid for wastewater drainage pipes fixed externally on the building (see figure 1 key 17). It is not applicable to a pipeline that runs under the building without any connection to the evacuation system. NOTE 3 In accordance with the product standards, for aerial and outdoor installations, the additional requirements of the pipes for wastewater evacuation, depending on the climatic conditions, will be established by agreement between manufacturer and user.
