This standard specifies the characteristics that PVC-U, PE and PP pipes and fittings must have for buried drainage in building works and civil engineering and agriculture, as well as their corresponding test methods. It is applied to PVC-U, PE and PP piping systems used in the drainage and conduction of surface and underground water by gravity, for building works and civil engineering and agriculture. The following are considered as building and civil engineering and agriculture works for the purposes of this standard: -ð forest or agricultural cultivation areas, sports areas, gardens, green areas and swimming pools; -ð roads, highways, expressways and freeways; -ð construction and building works; -ð other civil engineering works (airports, tunnels, walls, slopes, railways, etc.); -ð drainage and filter networks for surface water.
