112 This part of IEC 60684 gives the requirements for two types of heat-shrinkable, polyolefin 113 sleeving, semiconductive, with a nominal shrink ratio of 3:1. 114 This sleeving has been found suitable up to temperatures of 100 °C. 115 Type A: Thin wall Internal diameter up to 195,0 mm typically 116 Type B: Medium wall Internal diameter up to 120,0 mm typically 117 This sleeving is normally supplied in the colour black. 118 Since these types of sleevings cover a significantly large range of sizes and wall thicknesses, 119 Annex A in this standard provides guidance to the range of sizes available. The actual size 120 will be agreed between the user and the supplier. 121 Materials which conform to this specification meet established levels of performance. 122 However, the selection of a material by a user for a specific application need to be based on 123 the actual requirements necessary for adequate performance in that application and not 124 based on this specification alone. 125 This sleeving is designed to be used in MV cable accessories and as such electrical 126 performance will be proven as part of the assembly. Examples of this are described in HD 629 127 and IEC 60502 (all parts)
