This standard specifies the construction, dimensions and test requirements of un-armoured power cables with XLPE insulation and with circular aluminium conductors in single core cables for rated voltage (U) of 1 kV for fixed installations. The sheathing material shall consist of polyolefin. This standard includes two types of cables: - Type 5X-1: Cable with a polyolefin compound sheath with low halogen content and special properties against reaction to fire. The minimum fire reaction class is Eca - Type 5X-2: Cable with a polyolefin compound sheath with low halogen content and special properties against reaction to fire. The minimum fire reaction class is Cca-s1b,d2,a1.
