This Section of BS 3531 specifies the main dimensions of, and requirements for, semi-rigid medullary pins of the type generally referred to as "Rush pins" for use in orthopaedic surgery, and for introducer/extractors for use with such medullary pins. Other types of medullary pin, e.g. flexible or Enders pins, are excluded.
