This British Standard specifies the leading dimensions for 1/ in and 2/ in nominal bore screw-engagement self-sealing fuelling couplings for diesel locomotives and diesel railcars, for use at a pressure not exceeding 100 lbf/in², detailed as follows:

1. Hose half coupling.
2. Fixed half coupling for mounting on vehicle.
3. Blanking cap for fixed half coupling to keep the sealing faces clean and arrest leakage (optional).
4. Dust cap for hose half coupling (optional).
