DESCRIPTION

BS 4443-7:1992+A1:2008

This standard BS 4443-7:1992+A1:2008 Methods of test for flexible cellular materials is classified in these ICS categories:
  • 83.100 Cellular materials

This Part of BS 4443 describes 30142853_img1 the 30142853_img2 method of test that applies to flexible cellular products of polymeric origin: determination of tear strength of flexible materials with an integral skin and a density not greater than 500 kg/m3 and determination of compression set under humid conditions.

NOTE 1 The tear strength method described produces a value that may be regarded as a measure of the tear strength of the skinned foam under the conditions of the particular test.

NOTE 2 The titles of the publications referred to in this standard are listed on the inside back cover.

Gives a procedure for measuring compression set under humid conditions for the first time, as well as updating the conditioning procedure.
