This Part of BS 5270 specifies composition and performance requirements for vinyl acetate homopolymer emulsion bonding agents, substantially unfilled, for indoor use with gypsum building plasters. Bonding agents specified are intended for use with plasters complying with Class B, types b. 1 and b.2 of BS 1191 : Part 1 and type a.3 of BS 1191 : Part 2.

NOTE 1. The bonding agents may also be used with other plasters that are recommended by the manufacturer for use on backgrounds treated with bonding agents.
