DESCRIPTION

IEEE 1023-2020

This document provides recommended practices for applying human factors engineering (HFE) to systems and equipment that have significant human interfaces in nuclear power generating stations and other nuclear facilities.

This document provides recommended practices to engineering personnel for development of integrated programs for applying human factors engineering to the design, operation, and maintenance of nuclear power generating stations and other nuclear facilities. The recommended practice is for use by personnel who are familiar with the concepts of formal human factors program planning, but not necessarily familiar with the details of specific human factors engineering considerations and activities.

Revision Standard - Active. Recommended practices for applying human factors engineering (HFE) to systems and equipment that have significant human interfaces in nuclear power generating stations and other nuclear facilities are provided in this document.
