This recommended practice describes a reference architecture and general requirements for the implementation of a digital mine. Recommendations for requirements related to data collection, model establishment, interconnection, and intelligent management are defined.

The purpose of this recommended practice is to accelerate the process of digital transformation of mines, as well as to improve the efficiency of mine production and improve the utilization of resources through digital means, and to build a highly productive, green, and safe mine. For mining enterprises, the recommended practice helps to guide the design and construction of a new digital mine and also helps to guide the digital transformation of the existing mine. For digital mining solution providers, the recommended practice helps create solutions that are better suited to the needs of mining enterprises. For industry associations, this recommended practice helps to understand the needs of digital mine construction and guides the assessment of a mine’s digitalization level.
