This standard establishes the requirements applicable to manufacturers (2.9) of inputs that can be used in organic plant production as fertilising products (2.13). This standard applies to inputs included in organic production legislation [1 and 2] that are regulated by horizontal Community legislation [5] or national legislation [3 and 4]. This standard also establishes certain requirements in accordance with the principles of organic production legislation [1 and 2]. This standard does not apply to adjuvants, co-formulants, technological additives or excipients (2.3) and other substances that may form part of the formulation of fertilisers (2.19) and/or growing media (2.21), for which there are no official registers and which are not raw materials (2.11) per se.
