This standard establishes the requirements applicable to the person responsible for placing on the market (2.23) inputs (2.12) to be used for pest and disease management in organic plant production and post-harvest treatments. This standard establishes additional requirements beyond those legally mandatory. This standard does not apply to: biodynamic preparations [2 and 4]; certain plant protection products (PPPs); NOTE: Protectors (2.22), synergists (2.24) and co-formulants (2.4) are permitted as components of plant protection products (2.19) and adjuvants (2.1) for mixing with plant protection products for use in organic production (2.15), provided that they are authorised according with the applicable legislation [1 and 5]. Annex A contains, for information purposes, a list of all the requirements applicable to the person responsible for placing inputs for use in organic plant production (2.17) on the market, in accordance with this standard.
