DESCRIPTION

UNE 71307-1:2020

This standard defines a framework for decentralised identity management aimed to individuals and legal entities, which includes the description of a life cycle approach and the relationship of the main players participating in it, as well as the interrelationships between them. This standard meets at least the following criteria: - it is technologically neutral; - it is compatible with other relevant international standards on digital identity (see 2. References); - the application of this standard allows compliance with current privacy and personal data protection regulation; - it is compatible with any other applicable regulatory provision; - it is aligned with the relevant provisions of Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2015/1502 of 8 September 2015 on setting out minimum technical specifications and procedures for assurance levels for electronic identification means pursuant to Article 8(3) of Regulation (EU) No 910/2014 of the European Parliament and of the Council on electronic identification and trust services for electronic transactions in the internal market (Text with EEA relevance), and the Spanish National Security Scheme; - it enables the deployment of practical, usable, flexible and cost-efficient decentralised identity management systems; - it takes into account the specific needs of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs); and, - it is suitable for use in business-to-business relationships with individuals.
