Appliances covered by this standard are not to be used by children and not to be applied on the skin of children. It is recognized that very vulnerable people may have needs beyond the level addressed in this standard. Assessment of skin tone, dealing with scars, moles etc. during e.g. hair removal, skin rejuvenation is complex and also considering physiological differences of human body of children compared with adults (e.g. hormonal imbalance).
