This part of ISO 11290 specifies a horizontal method for ¾ð the detection of L. monocytogenes; ¾ð the detection of Listeria spp. This part of ISO 11290 is applicable to: ¾ð products intended for human consumption and for the feeding of animals; ¾ð environmental samples in the area of food production and food handling. NOTE Certain new Listeria species may not be detected or confirmed by this method (see references [4, 9, 11, 13]).
