This document specifies a test method for the determination of total amount of halogens (including fluorine, chlorine, bromine and iodine) present in textile products by combustion and ion chromatography (C-IC). This document is applicable to all types of textile products, including textile materials and plastic component (coating). WARNING If the textile products made of halogenated fibres, the high amount of halogens can contaminate the combustion and IC system.
